Hello, as you might understand from the blog title, I’ve started a new chapter—developing Matrix themes for WordPress.
So you would ask, why WordPress? Well, the story is, over the last 10-12 years, I tried different CMS platforms such as Squarespace, Duda Builder, Wix, and many others. None of these CMS platforms were as flexible for custom development as Jimdo. That’s how Matrix themes came about.
If you need a simple website for a hobby, small business, online store, blog, or personal portfolio, Jimdo might be the right solution for you. However, if you’re looking for a scalable website or project, where a simple Jimdo CMS is not enough, or if you’re aiming for larger projects with many advanced settings and options, sooner or later, you’ll need to switch to a different platform. From my own experience and that of my customers, about 90% switch from Jimdo to WordPress.
In general, web development requires a lot of time—from support and bug fixes to adding new features, updating themes, and maintaining documentation. Frankly, I never had enough time to develop custom themes for other platforms. Recently, though, a friend of mine who runs a small IT company that also covers the development of static websites asked for help with some custom WordPress themes. It has been a fun and enjoyable experience for me, as I have been able to see a completely new approach to web development and user experience. I also tried the most popular and best-rated WordPress templates in different projects. While each tool and theme had its advantages, none offered the level of customization and flexibility I desired for truly unique projects. That's when I decided to try something new and leverage my own experience with Matrix themes over the past 10 years with this new journey into WordPress development.
I am fully aware that this journey is long and there is still much to learn. However, I accept this challenge and will do my best to ensure I meet your expectations ;)
Stay tuned!
